Scribe E / SE2 User Guide
Last edited: October 22, 2026
This guide explains how Chapter Scribes E and authorized SE2 delegates use the Royal Arch Masons Ontario website and its governed administrative workflows.
1. Signing in and the primary menu
Sign in with your approved account. The common Companion navigation provides GC Events, Chapter Events, Grand Chapter Organization, Directory, Forms, Log Out and Help. Authorized administrative users also see WP Admin.
Practice: Identify the common navigation options and the WP Admin entry.
2. Opening WP Admin and GCO2
Select WP Admin to enter the governed WordPress administration area. Use the approved GCO2 entry point to access Chapter management tools. The available actions are determined by your effective Chapter authority.
Practice: Locate GCO2 without changing any records.
3. Selecting your Chapter
Confirm the Chapter context before creating or modifying information. Chapter ownership controls which records may be managed by a Scribe E or SE2 delegate.
Practice: Identify your authorized Chapter.
4. Scribe E and SE2 authority
A Scribe E exercises authority associated with the current Chapter office assignment. An SE2 exercises delegated authority only while the delegation remains valid and the Companion continues to meet Chapter membership requirements.
Delegation for one Chapter does not automatically provide authority in another Chapter. Revocation or loss of qualifying membership ends the corresponding SE2 authority.
Practice: Recognize why an account may have access to one Chapter but not another.
5. Managing Chapter events
Use the authorized Chapter Event Management workflow to create, edit and review Chapter-owned events. Complete the shared form, save and reopen the event to verify its details.
District-owned events are managed through their own District authority. A Chapter Scribe E does not gain District ownership privileges merely through the Chapter role.
Practice: Locate the Chapter event listing and identify the Create and Edit actions.
6. Chapter information and resources
Use the Chapter-related management interfaces available to your account. Confirm the Chapter scope and follow the governed Resource Management and revision-selection procedures when handling resource files.
Do not assume a newly uploaded revision becomes active automatically. Follow the interface’s explicit activation rules.
Practice: Locate the resources available within your approved scope.
7. Save, verify and review
After a change, check the saved record and its intended public presentation. Where the workflow includes an audit or revision history, use it to review what changed.
Practice: Identify where an event or resource can be reopened for verification.
8. Help and troubleshooting
If a workflow is unavailable, first confirm the signed-in account, current Chapter membership, office assignment and any SE2 delegation. Do not attempt to bypass authorization.
Help documentation is publicly readable but does not grant administrative permissions.
