How do I create an event?

Authorized Chapter administrators can use the governed Event Management interface to create Chapter events. The Chapter workflow is the primary example in this article.
Procedure
- Sign in with your authorized account and open WP Admin.
- Open GCO2 and locate Event Management.
- Confirm the Chapter you are working with before creating an event.
- Choose the available action to create a new Chapter event.
- Enter the event information requested by the form, including the applicable event type, date, time and location.
- Review the information and save the event.
- Reopen the event from the management listing and verify the saved details.
- Where the event has a public page, check that its published information is displayed correctly.
Important notes and role variations
- Scribes E and authorized SE2 delegates manage Chapter-owned events within their effective Chapter authority.
- District Secretaries manage District-owned events within their assigned District. Their office does not authorize editing Chapter-owned events.
- Authorized Public Relations assistance must retain the correct Chapter or District ownership and record the assisting actor and reason in the administrative audit.
- Event actions are limited by the permissions of the signed-in user. The presence of a management menu does not authorize every action.
- Grand Chapter calendar events are managed externally through the shared Google Calendar, not through GCO2 Chapter Event Management.
Verification
Confirm that the event retains its intended ownership, classification and saved details. Check the public presentation where applicable.
