How do I review a Companion Request?
Last edited: October 23, 2026
Companion Requests allows authorized operators to review requests for website access and determine the appropriate next processing step.
Procedure
- Sign in with an authorized Back-End account and open GCO2.
- Open Companion Requests and review the Submitted queue.
- Select the request you want to examine.
- Review the submitted name, Chapter information and other available details.
- Check whether the request may relate to an existing Person or another submission.
- Correct submitted details where the authorized workflow permits it.
- Choose an available processing action only after confirming that the request and intended action are appropriate.
- Save the permitted changes and reopen the request to verify the result.
Important notes
- The main queue classifications are Submitted, In Progress, Completed and Lost. Duplicate submissions are handled separately.
- The combined count of Submitted, In Progress, Completed and Lost should reconcile to All, excluding Duplicates.
- Review possible historical matches before creating a new Person. More than one previous submission may be relevant.
- Exceptional actions, including duplicate confirmation, spam classification and certain bulk or Lost operations, require separately authorized workflows.
- Completed History is read-only and preserves information about previous processing actions.
Verification
Confirm the request details, current queue classification and available history. If a processing action was completed, verify that the resulting state reflects the intended decision.
